Law Partners - 50% Didn't Receive Bonuses

Sure, the basic compensation was quite good for law-firm partners in that whopper of an earnings year - 2020.

BonusBut, according the recen Abovethelaw survey, 50% of those partners in large and boutique law firms didn't receive bonuses. That could have meant they couldn't put down enough of a down payment for a getaway in the Hamptons or on Martha's Vineyard.

In the current marketplace, associates probably would head for the exits if they didn't receive a bonus - and a substantial one.
