"Pennsylvania attorney David Schwager hired a prostitute through an escort website in December 2019, according to the criminal complaint filed by Luzerne County [Pennsylvania] detectives. Additionally, police said the woman tried to extort Schwager by threatening to share publicly a nude video of him if he did not pay her $1,000." - P.J. D'Annunizo, Law.com, April 28, 2021.
Schwager has resigned from his position as president of the Pennsylvania Bar Association. His profile remains on the website of law firm Chariton, Schwager & Malak where he is a partner.
He had been arrested on December 2019 for allegedly paying for sex. However, he was only charged recently with a misdemeanor for patronizing a prostitute by the Magisterial District Court. His lawyer is Frank Nocito who made no comment.
There will be a preliminary hearing.
