The legacy of 9/11 and the Boston Marathon Massacre will long shape public perception of radical protest. During the Counterculture of the late 1960s and early 1970s, an angry young man like Aaron Greene, with a knowledge of explosives, might have been embraced as a hero. At least in some circles.
Now, in most circles Greene is viewed as a spoiled elite. In his Greenwich Village (New York) apartment was the explosive HMTD, along with terrorist handbooks. Wisely he took a plea deal, reports Margaret Hartmann in NEW YORK, copping to the charge of attempted felony weapons possession. For that Greene will be sentenced to 7 years.
His sidekick in this and the mother of his child Morgan Gliedman is awaiting trial. One wonders if there will be any public sympathy because Gliedman is a female and a mother. What strategy her lawyer uses will be interesting. Gliedman's family is wealthy and can afford to contract with top legal counsel.
