I smell lack of credibility in the CPSC announcement that synthetic turf, although it contains lead, is safe. So does a legal journalist in the Northeast.
This journalist opines, "Yes, the CPSC has issued a report indicating that its study of synthetic turf fields reveals 'no risk.' But the troubles at the CPSC during the current administration, as well as the administration's curious relationships regarding environmental issues, as well as the science related to those issues, the CPSC's report may not carry much weight. Furthermore, the CPSC has been under fire ever since the lead toys from China debacle. This turf war will continue, I predict, at least for a little while."
