For progressives in America, darkness fell.
Brett Kavanaugh has been confirmed as a justice on the U.S. Supreme Court (SCOTUS).
His ideology seems to be ultra conservative.
Some speculate the end of the "Roe v. Wade," the gutting of vestiges of ObamaCare, and maybe even not making former lead paint manufacturers/marketers such as Sherwin-Williams legally and financially accountable.
However, there remains hope if the midterms fill Congress with a majority of progressive thinkers.
Recall when SCOTUS essentially threw out Lilly Ledbetter's contention of unfair compensation practices because of gender.
The SCOTUS argument was that a complaint should have been made soon after hire. As if the new hire is even aware of the compensation system ...
Well, Congress did so a We Shall Overcome. And, the Lilly Ledbetter Fair Wage Act had been the first one which the new president Barack Obama signed.
And Congress can keep overcoming SCOTUS for as long as progressives have a majority.
Takeaway: Vote in the midterms for a push-back to where SCOTUS now is. And could be for decades. Another option is to become an expat.
