Today's bombshell in the Stormy Daniels Theatre of Accusations is that the feds wiretapped Michael Cohen's phones. Members of the media report that the electronic net picked up a conversation between Cohen and the U.S. president.
Last night's bombshell was that Rudy Giuliani, now part of Donald Trump's legal team, told Fox News that the president had repaid Cohen for the $130K payment to Daniels for alleged hush money.
Obviously, this will lead the ABC evening news with David Muir.
But, unfortunately, because the alleged sex was consensual, it can't be one of those "ripped from life" episodes on "Law & Order SVU." That is, unless the real events are twisted into a million pieces that could result in a plot line.
How "Law & Order SVU" retrofitted the allegations about Harvey Weinstein into an episode was to create the plotline around a handsy pilot. His actions drove two female pilots off the deep end. Justice eventually happened.
