Its Munich, Germany office had been conducting an internal investigation of Volkswagen (VW) executives. The objective had been to determine any involvement of those executives in the emissions fraudulent data. As yet, its findings have not been made public.
Brian Baxter at The American Law Daily reports that the Munich office has been raided by German prosecutors investigating VW. VW has gone on record as saying that action had been "unacceptable" and a "clear violation of legal principles."
According to Baxter, the two Jones Day media representatives contacted have not made any comment.
