What makes Anthony Marshall, son of the late Brooke Astor, tick, pun intended.
Could it be a simple lust for money? Or is he a total self-destruct filled with self-hate?
Marshall had already been convicted in 2011 of a conspiracy to swindle millions from his mother. He is out on bail pending an appeal.
Yet, as THE NEW YORK POST reports, he was peddling a watch for sale which he claimed belonged to John Jacob Astor IV. Astor was wearing it when the Titanic went down and it was later retrieved with his body. The Titanic is a hot subject again since an exact replica of the cruise ship - Titanic II - is being constructed in China.
The reality is that the real watch had been purchased by a collector in 1997.
