As the world knows, former IMF head Dominique Strauss-Kahn is a man with a large sexual appetite. And, reports THE NEW YORK TIMES, that is his defense in the criminal investigation in France of his association with prostitutes. Although prostitution is not a crime in France, pimping and soliciting are. Was Strauss-Kahn pimping for parties he attended?
No, his lawyers say, he was just there, a man full of lust and lust is not a crime. If it were, then a lot of other prominent professionals would also be in trouble. Those elite men attended the same ritualistic orgies which Strauss-Kahn did. The galas would start out with a fine meal. Gradually everyone would get nude. There would then be public sex with multiple partners. Since, his lawyers argue, Strauss-Kahn arrived late to the parties when everyone was already nude, there was no way he could differentiate prostitutes from gals just wanting to have a little fun.
But not everyone, even in France, tolerates this idea of fun. He and his wife Anne Sinclair separated last August.
