If science is right, then there should be more fat lawyers.
After all, their line of work is notorious for sleep deprivation. In WIRED, Doree Shafrir reports that going without enough sleep can make people fat. That's because, as UC Berkeley scientists found out, during sleep deprivation the body generates less leptin. That's the hormone which oversees appetite and metabolism. Simultaneously, the body also produces more of the hormone ghrelin which creates the hunger drive.
