Employers & Social Contract: 69% of employed looking for new jobs (Source: Jobvite)

Without the prodding of the EEOC, employers in America have to change.  We know the old social contract of great benefits, lifetime employment, and a comfortable pension is over.  And a new one has to be born.

Meanwhile, according to the numbers from Jobvite, reports FORBES, 69% of those employed who were interviewed are looking for new jobs.  They are primarily doing that via social media networking. 

Anyone who's competent has picked up that the economy is getting better and there is fresh opportunity.  So, 69% of the workforce are now chasing that.  Employers will have to absorb the high cost of recruiting and training new employees.  The alternate is to create a social contract which encourages employees to stay put.
