Samsung has filed a request for a new trial in "Apple v Samsung," alleging juror misconduct, reports Bloomberg. It's a hail mary pass sort of thing but why not try.
Juror foreman Velvin Hogan was asked in the official list of juror questions if he had been involved in litigation in the past 10 years. He truthfully answered "no."
In the early 1990s he had filed for bankruptcy and had been sued by Seagate Technology. The lawyer who represented Seagate is married to the lawyer who was on the Samsung legal team. No other questions posed to Hogan pertained to any of these matters.
