Like former McKinsey head convicted insider trader Rajat Gupta had been, Richard Keller is a pillar of the establishment. Both are also middle aged. Keller, a medical doctor, has been a clinical instructor in pediatrics at Harvard Medical School and a faculty member at Children's Hospital in Boston.
Now, this pediatrician has been charged by the U.S. Attorney in Boston of receiving visual material of minors engaged in sexual activities aka kiddie porn. That was allegedly ordered online.
This is all puzzling, if it is proved to be true. Since he is in the field of childhood health surely he had to been aware that the federal government has been aggressive in monitoring the web for any activity related to child pornography. That has been going on for a long time. The use of children for pornography had probably been covered in seminars he attended or trade literature he had read. About four years ago a neighbor in my complex was arrested for this and sent to a federal prison.
Therefore, it was reckless for Keller to allegedly order DVDs online. The odds are he would be caught. Federal authorities claim they found those at his residence. Were both Gupta and Keller held hostage to some play out of a middle aged crisis?
