In these challenging times in the legal sector, news of change is usually followed by news of layoffs.
According to sources, Abovethelaw.com's David Lat reports that about 15 lawyers have been cut loose nationwide following the merger of McKenna Long & Aldrige with Luce Forward Hamilton & Scripps.
A few of those lawyers might land on their feet and find jobs practicing law or set up their own firms. Most will have to make a career transition.
