Those between 18 and 29 may be sticking with a career path, be it studying law or unhappily toiling impossible hours as an associate, not because they are "lost." Instead, a new study by Generation Opportunity, reports FORBES, found that 84% are not rocking the boat because they can't read the economy. They are not making any major changes.
Therefore, what watchers of this generation might interpret as passivity might just be wise caution. As they are able to figure out the economy and where they can find a promising place in it they might bolt out of the gate.
There is a great need for innovative approaches to recruiting and retaining new workers in state governments.
