We got another The Joker on our hands. This time instead of a gun he used his word processor to trick folks. The miscreant is Jonah Lehrer.
Lehrer resigned from THE NEW YORKER after he was outed for making up quotes in a book he wrote about Bob Dylan. Previously he had gotten nailed for lifting material he had written for another purpose and posting it in the blog he was penning for THE NEW YORKER.
Like that other The Joker James Holmes he was an elite. THE NEW YORKER, no less. One of the last vestiges for serious writing. Holmes was in a doctoral program. Not many folks find their way into such a high level of learning.
We have to wonder what goes on in the minds of those who put their energy into playing with human beings, ranging from their lives to their trust in books and magazine journalism. Do they need to feel more powerful than the rest of us?
Unfortunately, the fame The Jokers are receiving could trigger a wave of anti-social initiatives, across many disciplines. Who knows what a history professor at a liberal arts college in Ohio might be cooking up to play with students' and colleagues' heads.
I know that Holmes was in a doctoral program as well as it's a big and instructive. i was took some of tips from in this article. moreover, it's a perfect article at this time.
