The case against Dominique Strauss-Kahn is falling apart. The credibility of the alleged victim is being questioned.
The man lost his job because of the contentions of a chambermaid. He also lost his freedom for a while. Tomorrow the house arrest could be over. What has been most disturbing, from the get-go, has been the real possibility that this powerful man had enemies determined to destroy him in this way. They sure were able to inflict major damage. We wonder if all powerful figures are equally vulnerable and how can the legal system protect them.
