For a while it looked like once-respected plaintiff attorney John Edwards would beat his legal woes. That picture has changed significantly.
As breaking news, the NATIONAL ENQUIRER, which broke the story of the Edwards's affair with Rielle Hunter, reports that the Federal Grand Jury is going after deadbed testimony from Bunny Mellon. She's the wealthy woman, now 100, who made large contributions to Edwards's presidential campaign. The Federal Grand Jury is checking if any of those funds were misused to cover up the affair. If so, that evidence could be enough to send Edwards to jail.
Would his argument that his two children, who are motherless, need him save him from that?
