The clergy sex abuse scandal extends around the globe and deepens. Fresh disclosures reveal the alleged abuse of deaf boys in the U.S. in Wisconsin and in italy. Leaders of the Catholic Church, all the way up to Pope Benedict XVI, are being investigated for their failure to take timely action.
The abuse seems to constitute crimes against humanity, much like those of the Nazi regime. It might be healing for society and create a deterrent if an international court tries those who might have been accountable for allowing the situation to occur and keep happening.
