Kennedy, Next Friend, et al. v. Lasting Paints, Inc. et al.
This in from our lead paint watchers inside the beltway:
"Nearly a decade after filing two major class action lawsuits against old lead paint and lead pigment manufacturers in Maryland, one on behalf of a million homeowners subsequently dismissed in favor of defendants, trial attorney Peter Angelos has now withdrawn its representation in the companion personal injury suit. That suit was brought on behalf of guardians of children allegedly poisoned by the actions of manufacturers. It had been remanded back by appeals courts for the trial court to entertain plaintiffs' attempt to present sufficient facts which might sustain its allegations.
"As in most of these kinds of suits, plaintiffs could not identify any specific paint manufacturer. It's doubtful another plaintiff law firm will take on the case."
Personal injury lawyers have the authority to file a claim for basically any type of disease or harm incurred due to the carelessness of a person or party. While filing a personal injury claim normally does go smoothly for most people without the help of a lawyer, there are instances in which hiring personal injury lawyers is advisable and necessary.
