Mitt Romney - Chief Communications Officer for Tort Reform

Although right of plain-vanilla Republicans, Mitt Romney was one of the few speakers at the RNC tonight - at least pre-Palin - to connect rhetorically.

He described China as "Adam Smith on steroids." There's more.  Romney explicitly cited the economic evil of "tort windfalls."  Since he regards the Roberts court as, well, a bunch of lefties, Romney might be just the voice to be the new Chief Communications Officer for tort reform.  If he runs for president in 2012, as it's predicted, he may make tragedies like lead paint public nuisance litigation as much a distant memory as those polio summers.
