Can't take this lawsiut seriously - Plaintiff only asking in $25,000 ballpark

What could be a hit to the AARP brand probably won't be. Here and here the media tell us about an age-discrimination lawsuit filed in federal court in Michigan against that advocacy group for the elderly.  Former employee Bonita Brady, who's 63, claims she was not considered for several vacacies because of her age.

The problem is that she is seeking only about $25,000. No one can take this woman and her complaint all that seriously.  AARP is one of the most powerful lobbying groups in the U.S. aka well-funded. Had this plaintiff asked for $25 million, the AARP would be hiring a reputation-management Public Relations firm.
