RI SC Lead Paint Webcast - RHODE ISLAND LAW JOURNAL's Jon Pincince Udates
Head of the RHODE ISLAND LAW JOURNAL, Jon Pincince has been the pointman for bringing the RI Supreme Court's oral arguments on lead paint litigation to the world. It was Pincince who researched how this could be logistically accomplished and pitched the possibility to the powers-that-be at the Judiciary of RI.
Pincince now brings the world up-to-date on the arrangements. On his blog, Pincine tells lead paint watchers around the globe:
"As previously reported the Rhode Island Supreme Court has decided to webcast the oral arguments in the lead paint appeal. The Court has now put up on its web site a link to the webcast, which can be found on the Court's Of Current Interest page.
"I suggest right-clicking on the webcast link and opening it in a new window. It looks like you will need Windows Media player to watch. Enjoy!"
On behalf of all lead paint watchers, both supporters of the defendants Sherwin-Williams, NL Industries and Millennium Holdings and of the plaintiff which is the state of RI, I thank Jon Pincince for making this electronic innovation happen in the RI Supreme Court. The Court has made it clear that this, right now, is a one-time event. Future webcasts of the High Court's proceedings may or may not take place in the future.
Pincince intervened for us on his own time. In addition to operating THE RHODE ISLAND LAW JOURNAL, he is a practicing attorney in the state. This Lead Paint Litigation Hero of these not-ordinary times can be reached at Jpincince@gmail.com.
