In response to that leaded window-replacement proposal discussed in USA TODAY, a legal expert in the Northeast opines, "I think we need more statistics than just the apparent success story in Milwaukee. The longer this litigation goes on the more I see that there are so many variables which can contribute to lead poisoning in any one person that it is difficult to isolate causes. Initially, it would seem that replacing windows would be a positive step. But before it is heralded as a success story in and of itself, it would be nice to see what would happy using that same approach, say, in Baltimore or another city with demographics which closely mirror those in Milwaukee."
