OH Substitute Senate Bill 117 Not Retroactive

No, is the answer to the question readers have been asking:  If Ohio Governor Taft signs Substitute Senate Bill 117, will it be pertain to lawsuits already filed using the state's public nuisance law?

According to Carl Burnett Jr. of THE EAGLE-GAZETTE, those cities in OH - Lancaster, Toledo, East Cleveland, and Columbus - which have already filed public nuisance lawsuits against the former lead paint companies will be able to pursue those suits.  In fact, that's why Columbus rushed to file a complaint last Friday.  The bill had passed the House and Senate on Thursday and was being reviewed by Governor Taft.
